EPDM Rubber RV Roofing

EPDM is the rubber membrane found on a huge number of RVs and campers. It is flexible, proven, and budget-friendly — and when it is maintained right, it holds up. We repair, reseal, coat, and fully replace EPDM roofs.

EPDM Roof Services

Seam & Penetration Resealing
Old lap sealant stripped around vents, AC units, antennas, and edges, then resealed with an EPDM-compatible sealant.
Punctures & Tears
Limb strikes, hail damage, and tears patched with EPDM-compatible patch material so the damage stops spreading.
Chalking & Aging Membrane
An aging rubber roof that is chalking or thinning can often be cleaned and coated to extend its life.
Full EPDM Replacement
When the membrane has failed, we tear it off, repair any soft decking, and install a new EPDM roof.

EPDM Basics

EPDM is a rubber membrane that is typically glued down with adhesive. It stays flexible, it is affordable, and parts and materials are easy to source.

The trade-off is maintenance: the seams and every penetration depend on lap sealant, which dries out and cracks over time. Most EPDM leaks start right there. Rubber roofs also need the right products — some cleaners and sealants are not compatible with EPDM and can damage it.

Quick Answers

How do I know if my RV has an EPDM roof?
EPDM is a rubber membrane, usually white or black, that often leaves a chalky residue on your hand. If you are not sure, we can identify it during an inspection.
Can an EPDM roof be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Failed sealant, small punctures, and tears can usually be repaired. Replacement is only needed when the membrane has failed or the decking underneath has rotted.
Can you coat an EPDM roof?
Yes. A roll-on coating can seal an aging EPDM roof and extend its life without a full tear-off, as long as the membrane and decking underneath are still sound.
Can an EPDM roof be replaced with TPO or PVC?
It can. During a full replacement we will go over which membrane makes sense for your RV, your budget, and how the RV is used.
